Description
Nowadays, teenagers practice less sport activities compared to previous generations.
All the studies agree, younger generations lost between 25 and 30% of their physical abilities in term of strength, speed and endurance.
The French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety published a study where it states than two third of 11-17 years old are sedentary.
Teens don’t move, they eat bad, and so they’re exposed to overweight and obesity, diabetes, sleeping troubles. All of this can lead to more serious diseases like cancer.
The main cause of this tendency of sedentarism is the screens.
The Olympics is the opportunity to increase awareness on that matter and make teenagers practice more a physical activity.
