Young Boy Plays With Golden Orb Spider

Sometimes, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The son of self-proclaimed “wannabe entomologist” Lisa Vankula Donovan casually greeted and played with a venomous spider, as seen in this video posted on February 22.

Donovan, who recorded this footage, said she had taught her son Asher how to handle the golden silk orb-weaver and not make it feel threatened before handing it to him. Asher said the spider “is biting food off his arm because he ate some grapes,” Donovan wrote in the caption of this footage.
