I’ve waited years

Fought hundred battles

Shed molten tears

I’ve watched my peers

Climb the high mountain

Lay rest their fears

Consulted seers

Awakened rudely

Drowned in beers

Been standing here

Though ships keep passing

They don’t near

I’ve earned the cheers
