Wrong Independent Date

For fifty years, the Federal government said to Malaysian public that Malaysia gained Independent in 31st August 1957. Completely wrong, this date is Malayan Independent from British Colony. While Sabah, Sarawak, Singapore and Malaya formed Malaysia in 1963. Sabah gained its independent via Malaysia on 19th September 1963. And the seemingly correction was only made in 2013. The worse thing is even school history text books did not give the true picture..
