World War Two: 80 years on

In Weifang City, Shandong, a poignant commemoration marked 80 years since the liberation of a Japanese World War II concentration camp, where over 2,000 foreign nationals from 25 countries, including Britain and the U.S., were imprisoned in 1942. Around 70 visitors, including descendants of detainees and historians, gathered to honor the past, reflecting on the hardships endured and the resilience of those who survived. The event served as a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving history and fostering peace in today’s multicultural world.
