There was no doubt Spanish legend Toni Bou started the 2012 Trial World Championship as favourite, but he would have to withstand pressure from day one and overcome injury if he was to claim his sixth outdoor title in a row.

It looked like Bou had a fight on his hands after Spanish rival Adam Raga took the first victory of the year, and after injury in Spain and with some stunning rides by Albert Cabestany, Jeroni Fajardo and Takahisa Fujinami, Bou had to call on all his talent and determination to lead the title race.
