World may experience warmest decade yet: Report

Description
For more on this and other stories from around the world, we turn to our Oh Soo-young.
So, Soo-young, it seems the weather is indeed becoming warmer by the day.
That's right, Aram. It may actually turn out to be the warmest ten years the planet has experienced since records began in the early 19th century.
According to scientists at the UK's Met Office, the level of warming over the past four years is said to have been exceptional,... both on land and in the ocean.
In fact, figures show that 2018 was the fourth hottest year on record,... and if temperatures continue to rise according to the forecasts for the next five years,... the decade stretching from 2014 to 2023 will be the hottest in more than 150 years.
Now, there's even a risk of global temperatures rising as much as 1-point-five-seven degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels.
This would undermine the Paris Climate Agreement enforced in 2016 which aims to limit the temperature increase to a 1-point-five-degree threshold.
