World Cup due to kick off

The World Cup is about to kick off, with the first game between hosts South Africa and Mexico just hours away. The opening concert had the usual fireworks and music to start proceedings. Shakira and the Black Eyed Peas were the highlights. Colombian singer Shakira was joined on stage by Wyclef Jean to perform Hips Don't Lie, complete with zebra print leggings and skimpy top. Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas was wearing a black Space Age suit as they sung a number of hits. Now for the football and the opening concert that Nelson Mandela is rumoured to be attending despite his ill-health.
