Workers down tools over salary hike

Food and Allied Workers Union members at Ingrain have downed tools. The company was formerly known as Tongaat-Hulett before being purchased by Barloworld and renamed. The workers are demanding a 15 percent salary hike, while the employer is offering 3,5 percent. They're also seeking a housing allowance and a COVID-19 allowance for level 4 and 5 workers.
