Woolwich suspect was arrested in Kenya
Description
Before Michael Adebolajo, in the brown shirt, became a suspect in the murder of a British soldier in broad daylight, he was arrested by Kenyan police.
This video from 2010 shows him in a Mombassa court along with eight other people suspected of trying to train with an Al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia.
Adebolajo addressed the court.
SOUNDBITE: Michael Adebolajo saying (English):
"These people are mistreating us, we are innocent believe me."
He was deported to the UK shortly afterward. This new information raises questions about whether British security forces could have prevented soldier Lee Rigby's murder.
Adebolajo, a British national of Nigerian descent is one of two people accused of hacking Rigby to death.
