Wings of Liberty Plot Analysis: Final missions

In this series of reviews I will be examining the plot of the various groups of missions in Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty to highlight retcons, poor plots, and illogical decisions. Where relevant I will compare SC2 to SC1.

I have the following problems with the rebellion missions:
1) Why does Warfield screw up the invasion of Char?
2) Why does Warfield give command of the Dominion soldiers to Raynor when Raynor has spent 4 years attacking the Dominion? You'd think Warfield would have some subordinates he could use.
3) Why doesn't the Dominion test the artefact, use it sooner, or pre-charge it?
4) If Tychus is working for Mengsk then why didn't he tell Mengsk about Raynor's planned invasion of Korhal, the alliance with Valarian, or Valarian's plan to invade Char?
5) Why didn't the Dominion stop Raynor carrying Kerrigan away from Char?
