Wings of Liberty Overall Plot Analysis

In this series of reviews I will be examining the plot of the various groups of missions in Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty to highlight retcons, poor plots, and illogical decisions. Where relevant I will compare SC2 to SC1.

I have the following problems with Wings of Liberty:
1) Characters lack a motivation for what they're doing.
2) Characters have inconsistent motivations.
3) Characters have opinions they shouldn't have.
4) Characters have no character development.
5) Poor dialogue and random speeches.
6) Mengsk's plan makes no sense.
7) Tychus was poorly added to the story.
8) Raynor acts immorally.
9) Retcons everywhere.
