When rebellious teen Mika encounters a beautiful but wild stallion named Windstorm at her grandmother's riding school, she discovers that she has a unique talent for communicating with horses. But when her grandmother threatens to get rid of Windstorm due to his unpredictable and dangerous behaviour, Mika must risk all to save her new friend.

Although smart and independent, rebellious teen Mika is a chronic underachiever convinced that she isn't good at anything. Unwilling to deal with her problems, Mika's parents send her to spend the summer with her strict grandmother, a former Olympic equestrian who now runs a prestigious riding school. Exploring the stables one day, Mika encounters a beautiful but fearsome stallion named Windstorm, whom even the school's best riders are unable to tame. Against all odds, Mika forms a bond with the spirited steed and discovers that she has a unique talent for communicating with horses. But when her grandmother threatens to get rid of Windstorm due to his unpredictable and dangerous behaviour, Mika must risk all to save her new friend.
