William Williams - Empty
1 Views • Jun 17, 2014
Description
So empty and cold,
But despite my solitude
I am not alone.
I still have the memories of friends
That are dear to my heart.
Even though most of those friends
Have now gone afar.
I've sought them many times.
I've been on such a great search.
I've looked in the deepest caves,
And down from the highest perch.
I used to have such strength,
But gone are those days
For as my friends left,
I gave it to them so that they may stay safe.
And in these dark days,
I need to be strong,
But along with my friends,
My strength is long gone.
Now I'm stuck in the cold,
And lost in the dark.
That keeps a thick layer of ice,
Frozen over my heart.
Now I am all that remains,
Alone but not so,
I'm trapped in a void,
That is also my soul.
