Description

I.

Let me be your earthen lover,
an herb of nature like no other,
the tears of rain, the dew of laughter
the magical draught you’ve often sought after,
the soft seductive whispering wind
to call your name again and again
the stream in search of your reflection,
the fragrant wood that in anticipation
awaits the sound of your voice.

II.

Let me be your new addiction,
not just the satisfaction
of mere mutual attraction,
but rather mercurial intoxication,
like morphine on the brain,

III.

Let me be your slow burn,
an endorphin rush to turn
your days and nights into
a sensuous bioelectrical romance
of sight and sound and pheromones,
an ecstasy of salty tastes and velvety touch
of soft spoken words and exclamations,
of fragrances sweet and tart
of silences punctuated with laughter,
of my open eyes, creamy skin, silken hair
and quivering lips softly illuminated
and commingled with yours
in morning’s and moon’s light.

IV.

Let me be the wild ride you imbibe,
the altered state, a synaptic blast,
the crescendo, the heart flush that lasts
until desire beckons you once more
to chase the dragon
yet to know no one else.
