My friend said, 'So, it is about sex then? '
'It has never been about sex, ' I said.

'Then- - what are we talking about? '
'Matters of the heart! '

'It's about the heart? '
'It has always been about the heart, ' I said.

'You're screwed up, ' she said.
'Yes, most likely.'

'No, you're messed up; crazy! '
'Perhaps so, ' I said.

'No, you are! ' she said,
and I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about.'

'Love and scar tissue! ' I said; 'Multiple contusions! '
'Emotional scar tissue? ' she asked.

'Yes. But, I've left it behind.'
'I still don't know what you're talking about, ' she said.

'There was a time-I thought I could never love anyone, '
A time when I could not feel a thing! '

'But now? ' she asked.
'Now I feel it all! '

'I still don't understand what you are talking about, ' she said.
'To love- to feel; she is pure intoxication! '

'But what if she doesn't love you back? ' she asked.
'It doesn't matter; I love her! '
