& soft neck
the smell of you
dreamed about
the reality
all encompassing
your soft words spoken
deeply
so believable
with those beautiful eyes of yours

i must’ve done something
right, this time
each day brings
a new level of tangibility
of surety
resounding in your smile
& in my heart
pounding like a bass drum in my chest
every time I see you
every time I think of you
