Will Zimbabwe's economic downfall force change?
2 Views • Sep 14, 2015
Description
Something unusual is happening in Zimbabwe: during his recent address to the nation, the country's controversial president Robert Mugabe asked the West for help. Zimbabwe is in a dire economic situation with soaring unemployment, widespread poverty and sluggish growth. The country owes its lenders more than $8 billion and has until October to honour its debts. Efforts are now underway to attract foreign investment, as FRANCE 24's Caroline Dumay reports.
