Will You Be Mine Forever, c.1990

I wrote this 3/4 beat song on a whim, in Calgary Alberta, back in 1989. I had been living with a roommate, who, fortunately, had a piano in our apartment which I could use to pass my free time. There is no particular reason for having written it, it simply came to me as a musical idea at the time and so I began to write it all down. I still have the original manuscript written in pencil or ink mixed! One feature of it that has always stood out for me, is the idea that it has a spot of poetry in a refrain, as well as a couple of trombones doing an interlude . I was deliberately making an attempt to NOT write just another "formula" love song. It's a happy song, a very happy song; the accordion all through it represents that.
