Will Wesley - Opportunity Knocks

Pol Pot won a talent show
His set impressed the judges
He massacred the other acts
Then cleaned the blood and smudges
His backing band had Mussolini,
Hitler, Stalin and Nero,
Whose version of “I Did It My Way”
Got an audience vote of ZERO.


But, like all despots they know the tricks
Of coercion and manipulation
So they trained their guns on the camera crew
And threatened annihilation.
They won first prize for all their work
And Pol Pot is a wow,
Though in future years will people ask
The essential question: “How? ”
