As the UP Assembly Polls are just next door. All the political parties that are going to contest elections in the state are in full swing. In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had promised voters that they would start constructing the Ram Temple in Ayodhya if the party comes to power with a clear majority. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled that promise when he did the bhumi pujan at Ayodhya for the start of temple construction.
