Wildfires in the northwestern United States have been raging over the weekend.
Firefighters have been battling the blazes in northern California, Oregon and Washington state, which have destroyed homes and forced many to evacuate the affected areas.
Dry lightning, high winds, temperatures close to 40 degrees celsius and drought conditions have worsened the situation .
In Washington one of the worst wildfires in the state’s history has been burning for three weeks.
Meanwhile, the Governor of California Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency on Saturday.
