wild fire - my only one (free verse)

Here I sit,
waiting.
For what?
Heaven only knows.

Somethings breaking up.
There's no more to do.
Everything is done.
And the world falls apart around around me.

Memories of kisses and past fights
with lovers and friends cloud my mind
as the clouds cloud the sky with their darkness.

Passions and inconsiderations
tell me the end is near and Armageddon
is at my door.
My only hope is to find you before this world ends.

The red skies tell me I haven't any time
to waste and you scream my name.
I collapse to my knees in the busy streets
people stare as they pass.

I get up and run from the poisonous treason
your lips speak.
Just let me fall down dead and
let the guilt in your heart poison you.

Oh no, your arms are around me and
I fight and scream.
Tears fall and you shh me and hum.
Oh God this is the end.

I was fine with out you,
here I am falling apart in your arms.
You are my only one.
I'll always love you.

The red sky opens up and thunder
and lightening pour into my heart and mind.
Fists fly and I run.
Escaping you and the past.

I need to run away
I need to be free from the hold the past
has on me.
I refuse to have my life in your hands.

Stop touching me
Stop calling my name.
My only one you are gone
Dead to me

Someone help me escape
this madness.
Rain hits my face and mixes with tears
you cant catch me
you cant catch me

I wake up in a cold sweat and
see him laying next to me
He wakes up and says are you alright
i reply it was only a bad dream

you are my only one
