This panel will feature civil society experts who will share the experience of their organizations in influencing policy development for the prevention of atrocities. Speakers will reflect on their engagement with national governments to undertake necessary action to prevent the commission or reoccurrence of atrocities, with particular focus on policy development in the areas of justice and accountability; good governance; and ensuring the inclusion of women and other underrepresented populations within decision making, judicial and other processes, as well as the protection of their rights. Countries in focus include Sierra Leone, Guatemala, and Kenya.
