Hatchet Hall in Los Angeles used traditional American open fire techniques to cook food. We popped into the kitchen to see how the live fire works, how the chef keeps it burning at over 1,000 degrees all evening during service, and learn why food (specifically, steak) simply tastes better when cooked over a real fire.
