Why Sandiganbayan nixed Revilla plea

MANILA - The Sandiganbayan First Division has junked Senator Bong Revilla's motion to suspend proceedings on the pork barrel scam. Associate Justice Efren Dela Cruz said the First Division will continue with the court proceedings unless restrained by the Supreme Court. Prosecutors, however, pointed out that the Supreme Court already ordered the Sandiganbayan to proceed with the raffle of the cases, which means that the proceedings can continue.
