why #proudtobe why not #standtogether

So youtube started a new thingy, #proudtobe. And where I am fully willing to support people that are gay or such, I find that the video they produced is rather an aggressive one. I felt to make a serious response to it and I wonder why they went with #proudtobe. Personally I think #standtogether fits better. Why did they not chose to talk of standing together, why are they using their time to create more division?
