Why Amitabh Bachchan Didn't Keep Karvachauth Fast This Year?

While earlier megastar Amitabh Bachchan too used to fast on Karvachauth, along with his wife Jaya Bachchan, this year he couldn't because of some ailments, for which he is on medicines. This year Big B's birthday coincided with Karvachauth and while addressing the media, the Shahenshah said, ''Earlier even I used to keep Karvachauth fasts but now due to some physical ailments, I have to take a few medicines, which can only be consumed after having food and my doctors have asked me to not be on an empty stomach, I couldn't keep it this time.'' Bachchan Senior turned 72 on October 11.
