The Bible was written by 40 men and women of God.
Question: Who wrote the Bible?
Rick Warren: It was written by 40 men and women of God over a period of hundreds and hundreds of years under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
God inspired them to write it down. Well it's more than, like, well God inspired me to write "The Purpose Driven Life". It's like, okay, another kind of inspiration. It means I believe God was directly telling them, "This is what I want you to write." Now it still shows their personality. And when you read one book to the next, you still see truth coming through their personality. There isn't like there isn't a human element to it. But it's interesting because when you quote any other book, people don't get nervous. You quote the Bible, people get nervous. Why is that? It's in a class by itself.
