Whistleblower Killed in Bareilly: UP

News of a whistleblower killed in Bareilly in UP allegedly by the ration shop mafia after he filed a case against them on the basis of an RTI finding.23 year B.Ed student Sangh Ratan Gautam's dead body was recovered from a sugarcane field days after he went missing. Gautam had filed a case against the Public Distribution System mafia after an RTI application revealed large scale fraud by the department. Police suspect Gautam was killed by a group of men from a local ration shop. 2 persons have been arrested in the case.
