What we know about the ‘pager attacks’

Thousands of people, many believed to be affiliated to the armed group Hezbollah, were injured after a notification apparently triggered devices to detonate in their pockets, hands or bags.

Pagers were apparently targeted because the group relies on them to communicate because of concerns mobile phones could be hacked or tracked.
