What's Your Question?
Description
Amy Goodman asks if we are all listening to each other.
Amy Goodman: Well, first of all, it would be for every citizen and non citizen, or let's just say, citizen of the world. It's not so much what I tell people to ask. It's people listening to each other. People respecting each other. Providing a forum for people to speak to each other that, in this day and age, the media is the most powerful institution. It's all [of ours]. We have to demand of the corporate media that they open up. You know, these networks are using public property.
They are using the public air waves. They are using our property, the place where we determine the future of the earth. Everyone gets a say in that, and if they don't allow that global discussion, they should have their licenses revoked. This is not private property. This is not just their domain, to have a conversation that will determine who lives and who dies. And it's very important that people understand that the media is all of ours, and that each person has a say and should have a say in what is being projected back to us and to the rest of the world.
