Description

Nerve damage in people with spinal cord injury or congenital abnormalities, may lead to urinary incontinence. Once condition affecting bladder control is a neurogenic bladder. The bladder wall thickens, thereby decreasing bladder size and increasing pressure within the bladder. This pressure may cause urine to back up into the kidneys, which could lead to kidney failure.
