What Is The Umbrella Movement?
Description
On September 28, 2014, tens of thousands of demonstrators, demanding an end to China's pre-screening of candidates for election, took to the streets in Hong Kong. The protest, which lasted three months, was later referred to as the 'Umbrella Movement' after the use of umbrellas as a tool for peaceful resistance against the Hong Kong police.
