9 Views • Aug 18, 2011
Description
An IRS garnishment is a type of levy. It's a levy on your paycheck. After the IRS has notified you by certified letter that they are going to levy you, and you have not responded, then the IRS can garnish your paycheck by contacting your employer by telling them not to pay you, but to pay the IRS instead.
