Description

An adversary proceeding is a separate case that can stem from your bankruptcy, if a creditor alleges fraud in your bankruptcy. And what they will do is, they will file a motion with the court explaining what they think the fraud is. And at that point, you can either settle with the creditors for what you think is a fair amount, or you can fight the fraud charges if you don't believe they were true. And it's a completely separate case from your original bankruptcy, it's a separate case number and everything has to be fought separately from your original bankruptcy petition.
