Watch this hilarious video in which a humpback whale dives under a floating sailboat and waves at the shocked onlookers as it swims away.
William Drumm, a professional underwater photographer, loved to explore the ocean and catch the rarest moments of the marine wildlife.
On one such expedition on the Pacific coast, he had a close encounter with a humpback whale, where the whale came close to their boat and passed under it.
William from Colorado, USA, said: “We were on our boat when the whale approached us and dove under it.
“We were all delightfully surprised, and I called out to it, shouting ‘Hey buddy,’ while it swam past us.
“As if in response, the whale turned on its back and poked its head and a fin out as if replying ot my greeting with a wave.”
