Western Australia is battered by storms
Description
Hail stones the size of golf balls have been pounding the Western Australian city of Perth in a storm so violent that the local media are calling it a natural disaster.
The storm has left a trail of destruction in its path with flash flooding, mudslides and strong winds of up to 75 miles per hour.
Nearly 100 people have been evacuated from one apartment building in central Perth after a landslip pushed sand into the complex and covered two parked cars.
Outbound flights from Perth Airport were halted when part of the ceiling collapsed.
And people in a local hospital also had a lucky escape when the roof of the emergency room caved in.

A major clean up is now under way, but it is estimated that the cost of the damage could be over 100 million Australian dollars (£60 million)
Residents are being warned that there is still more stormy weather to come tomorrow.
