As Nicholas Pooran was the star of the show for the defending champions MI New York.
He struck an unbeaten 68 to power MI to an eight wicket win over Akeal Hosein's Texas Super Kings.
And Sunil Narine grabbed a couple wickets as he and a host of West Indians, combined to maintain LA Knight Riders unbeaten start to the season.
