Suppose I could in time regress
But to reincarnate my soul
Journey amongst this life again
'Pon a fruition of love, that's whole

Suppose I could rewrite the tale
A lovers quest, surreal, divine
But only to recalcitrant
This fated path, this heart of mine

Suppose I could recant my sins
Bethink a world just out of grasp
Where the Moirai determine life
Embraced tightly within their clasp

Suppose I could but redefine
A harmless innocuous cliché
The trite phrase 'I love you'
Renewed, spoken only to portray

A love of truth and beauty
Venus, Aphrodite, the goddess of love
Suppose I could relive it all
Not just to love, but be beloved
