Description

More than 8 out of every 10 South Africans say President Ramaphosa should make an example of those who are corrupt to send a message to future perpetrators. This is contained in a new study by Ask Africa. The study reports on perceptions of over 9,000 South Africans during level 3 of the lockdown between August 5 to 11. A total of 76 percent of those surveyed felt dealing with the issue of corruption was all talk and no action, while one in three felt Ramaphosa was not doing enough to prevent COVID-19 corruption. ANC veteran and an outspoken voice on corruption in SA, Mavuso Msimang, discusses this further.
