Webster Booth sings two contrasting arias from Handel's oratorio, "Samson" - "Why Does the God of Israel Sleep?" and "O, Loss of Sight/Total Eclipse". The first aria is conducted by Warwick Braithwaite in a recording made in 1949, the second conducted by Stanford Robinson in a recording made in 1947.
