We will help save Michael Garing, says PM

Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad says Malaysia will try to save Sarawakian Michael Garing who is scheduled to be executed in Changi Prison, Singapore on Friday.
Dr Mahathir said many believe that the death penalty is excessive and hopes that Singapore feels the same way too.
He was speaking to reporters during a press conference in the Parliament lobby on Wednesday.
Michael Garing of Kapit, Sarawak, was convicted of murder in Singapore in 2015.
