Description

The lights dim,
The audience quiets,
For the play is about to begin.
The curtain is drawn back
As the actors take the stage.
Poetry in motion.
The story unfolds
In full living color and sound.
The audience watches,
Enraptured by the drama taking place
In front of their very eyes.
The scene is familiar,
As if taken from the very life
That surrounds every day.
The people, the place, the time;
All in the present,
And all part of their very essence.
A facsimile of love, life, and death,
Portrayed in a realistic format,
And made all the more real
In the realm of the imagination.
The curtain falls on the last act
And life, as we know it,
Fades away into the curtain call.
