It's official! Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler have signed on to play Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs and Sonny Crockett in the new 'Miami Vice' movie after long circling the project in negotiations. The film from Joseph Kosinski also finally has a title! The project will be called 'Miami Vice ’85.' The movie version of the 1980s TV series is inspired by the police show's pilot episode and first season. It's set for release by Universal Pictures on August 6th, 2027.
