Description

Oktober — Uhrsprung 1976 (Germany, Krautrock-Progressive Rock)

The debut album by a Hamburg-based political rock band with a unique German tradition, related to Floh De Cologne, Lokomotive Kreuzberg, Checkpoint Charlie, and others, but with a more progressive influence, musically close to Grobschnitt. The members of Oktober helped record P.P. Zahl's album. After the band's breakup, bassist Kalla Wefel worked with Schneewittchen, pursued solo work (as a writer, composer, singer, and producer), and performed as a guest musician with Clinch, Angi Domdey, Andreas Wilczek, and others.
