Health chief says 3 out of 10 children face nutritional deficiencies

Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa says that 27 percent or 3 out of 10 children face nutritional deficiencies. Herbosa pointed this out during the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) National Mayors' Forum in Taguig on July 16, 2025. Herbosa noted the disparity in nutrition levels across different regions in the Philippines where some areas have high nutrition standards while others struggle with poverty and inadequate nutrition programs.
