Description
Former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate after he was questioned for over 12 hours in a money laundering case. He will be produced before the court on Tuesday where the ED will seek his custodial remand.
Meanwhile, a team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials recorded the statement of Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede for a second time. Wankhede, who is facing charges of bribery and extortion, was with officials of the vigilance department for nearly four hours at the drug enforcement agency's office in New Delhi on Monday.
