Govt to scrap petrol subsidy programme (PSP)
Description
Deputy Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Rosol Wahid on Wednesday said that the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government decided not to follow through with the petrol subsidy programme (PSP) as introduced by the previous administration.
Rosol said the government made the decision after considering the price difference of fuel between the peninsula and East Malaysia.
He said this in response to a question by Setiu MP Shaharizukirnain Abd Kadir who asked when the PSP would come into place after it was postponed by the Cabinet.
