Assam floods: 43 lakh people affected, 95 % Kaziranga National Park inundated. Out of 33 Assam districts, 30 districts are in the grip of flood. According to an estimate, this flood has affected 43 lakh people. The worst affected district Barpeta is the flood. Due to floods, 7.35 lakh people had to leave their homes. The situation of the state's capital Guwahati has also worsened due to the rising water level of the Brahmaputra river. It is being said that if the rain is not there Guwahati can also fill the water in the city.

असम के 33 में से 30 जिले बाढ़ की चपेट में हैं. एक अनुमान के मुताबिक करीब 43 लाख लोगों पर इस बाढ़ का असर पड़ा है. बाढ़ से सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित जिला बारपेटा है. यहां बाढ़ की वजह से 7.35 लाख लोगों को अपना घर छोड़ना पड़ा है. ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी के जल स्तर के बढ़ने से राज्य की राजधानी गुवाहाटी के हालात भी खराब हो गए हैं। कहा जा रहा है कि अगर बारिश नहीं थमी तो गुवाहाटी शहर में भी पानी भर सकता है।
